It's nearly impossible to accurately countersink a screw working freehand with an ordinary driver bit. Over-tightening by as little as 1/4 turn can drive the screw through the drywall facing. When a screw is improperly set in the gypsum, it can result in screw pop-out, even with normal, everyday wall vibrations. Dimpler helps maintain the gypsum board's structural integrity and cleanly countersinks the screw. You get professional results every time!
